The blazing sun had sank down into the horizon; a symbol of another day coming to a close. In its descend, the sky was left a marvelous mess of color. Beautiful shades and hues of pinks, purples, and reds dimmed over the land. The moon could be faintly seen lurking behind the clouds.
After working hard during a scorching heatwave, they were relaxing outside whilst being shirtless, completely worn out from all the labor they had to do.
He was sitting beside Nezumi, admiring the summer twilight, when an abrupt gust of wind chilled the air. The cool breeze made him scoot just a little bit closer to the other boy, yearning for his warmth and nearness. He tensed up and glanced at Nezumi tentatively for a second, before realizing that there really was no need to worry. The two of them had been living together for quite some time now, and even fate had arranged their first meeting four years ago.
With a smile so content, he gently brushed his hand across Nezumi's, resting it on top before intertwining their fingers. He gazed into Nezumi's gorgeous gray eyes, like looking at a pair of glistening stones. He stared at those lips with the lingering desire to taste them.
"Nezumi..." Just as he was about to press a kiss to Nezumi's mouth, a cackle of thunder roared high above them, startling him. The loud noise had elicited a small gasp, as he clung onto Nezumi's arm. Miraculously, after what seemed like an eternity of torridity, a few raindrops fell from the heavens. Several droplets joined them, and soon, it was pouring down. The sounds of drizzling water droned over the dry earth.
"A-Ah! We should go inside..." he suggested, an arm still draped around Nezumi. He wondered wordlessly what had become of the weather. The change was so sudden, but it certainly wasn't a bad one.
